During the process of creating Sasfin’s Content Hub, we were asked to apply our fresh, new UI kit to Sasfin’s banking app that was in development. The reception to our more modern design language was positive within Sasfin, and they wanted their first ever mobile banking app to look and feel just as good.
A functional spec and wireframes were provided by Sasfin to guide us. We linked the wireframe to create a prototype that helped uncover any opportunities to enhance the UX of the app. Tweaks and changes were implemented based on suggestions from the test audience. These wireframes were used to identify each component that would be required, which in turn informed our UI kit requirements. The UI kit created for the Sasfin Content hub was used as the basis for the app UI kit and modified wherever necessary.
Once signed off, our UI kit and guide were provided to Sasfin’s internal development team who began implementing the front end. We scheduled regular progress sessions with the developers to ensure they had everything required and that the designs were being implemented correctly.
